~ A National African American Breast Cancer Survivorship Organization ~
Gloria has traveled across the nation to speak to the United States Congress, California Legislature,  countless churches and civic groups as an advocate for women's health issues.  Gloria tells her story and shares her hopes and fears in a manner that moves the audience to ask questions, demand answers, advocate and support others.  She also encourages them to vote with knowledge, know where your candidates stand on health issues that affect your lives.

Gloria is working diligently in her efforts to provide information to all women.  She believes the gift of survivorship demands a commitment of an advocate's time, devotion and love...EVERY WOMAN COUNTS!

Sisters Network Solano County, with Gloria's leadership, has been restructured and revitalized to more effectively focus on the issues affecting women's breast health.  New initiatives are in place to focus on health, personal enrichment and group empowerment with an expansion of services to the Greater  Bay Area.

Gloria has a strong supportive family  which included her late husband of 40 years and his mother, who both lost their lives to cancer, two daughters, two sons, and four grandchildren.  Gloria knows that families  have burdens that must be addressed.  She prays that  families will never  refuse to lend one another a hand.  Gloria also believes that as a community, we should try to put ourselves in another family's place and remember that we always have opportunities to change or create wonderful memories for the future and for each other.

Dr. Wade-Lessier has produced an inspirational CD entitled, "My Journey, Thus Far" and  is currently writing her first book, she will continue to share her story and her belief that in the war against breast cancer, we all deserve to live in a world free of Cancer...EVERY WOMAN COUNTS!  Dr. Wade-Lessier is also a certified Life Coach.
